Barcelona Vs. Osasuna: 1-0 Halftime, David Villa Ends Slump

It's been much too long since David Villa scored a goal in La Liga, but the lethal striker has finally gotten back on the scoreboard, netting his 17th goal of the season. The fact that someone can play on the same team with Lionel Messi, score that many goals in a season, and have what is considered to be an extended slump is absolutely ridiculous, but that just tells you exactly how good David Villa and Barcelona are.

His goal was assisted by Jeffren, starting along with Ibrahim Affelay in place of Pedro and Messi, who are being rested after Wednesday's Copa Del Rey match. Since Barcelona are playing Osasuna, this is hardly a problem. Incredibly, Osasuna have actually registered a high number of shots, but it would be pretty shocking to see them do anything but lose in this one. Currently, they're two points clear of the relegation places, so a lucky point would be massive if Osasuna could manage it.
