New England Revolution Vs. Sporting Kansas City: Kei Kamara Gives SKC Lead, Shalrie Joseph Equalizes

Just as it appeared that the New England Revolution's struggles were really starting to catch with them, Shalrie Joseph scored the equalizing goal in the 72nd minute. Joseph's goal, which came off a perfect delivery from Kenny Mansally, was his third of the season and followed a Kei Kamara penalty that temporarily gave Sporting Kansas City a 2-1 lead.

Now, the Revs have been put in an even better situation as Aurelien Collin has been sent off with a red card in his debut. It was not entirely clear if Collin was shown a straight red or if he was shown red because he was sitting on a yellow, but either way it seemed questionable. Collin had gone up for a corner and collided with Revs goalkeeper Matt Reis, but it seemed like a fair challenge. Reports from the field now indicate that Collin was believed to have thrown a punch at Benny Feilhaber, but replays caught no such aggression.
