Teal Bunbury and Juan Agudelo, two of the United States' brightest young stars, are engaging in a good-natured Twitter war. It's not entirely clear what prompted this battle, but it took off after these two tweets:
I'm challenging my homie @JuanAgudelo17 to a twitter battle. Whoever gets the most followers by our game this Saturday wins. #LLEEGGOOless than a minute ago via Twittelator

The stakes: The loser will wear the winner's jersey for a day. The rules seem pretty simple: The winner will be whichever player has more Twitter followers by the time Bunbury's Sporting Kansas City visits Agudelo's New York Red Bulls on Saturday. As of Tuesday afternoon, Agudelo holds a lead of 7,463-7,322.
