Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, 2011 UEFA Champions League Semifinal: Emmanuel Adebayor Booked For Awful Foul On Sergio Busquets

Barcelona might have the lead but there's still life in this Real Madrid side, who are causing some big problems in the defence by punting long balls forward for Gerard Pique to thoroughly misjudge. Carles Puyol has to bail his teammate out this time as the centre back lets the ball bounce over his head and almost onto the waiting foot of Angel di Maria. Eventually, Madrid earn a throw near the corner flag, which goes absolutely nowhere.

Goalscorer Lionel Messi then gets involved int he game again with a foul that he manages to avoid a booking for by giving Wolfgang about ten thumbs up, and then he's denied a foul of his own when he was cut down just outside the Real Madrid box. Odd refereeing from the German, which is a shame given the first half he had. Oh, and Emmanuel Adebayor is now in the book too after smashing into Sergio Busquets, which looks like a worse challenge than the one Pepe got sent off for.

This is the third of four matches between Real Madrid and Barcelona. You can view our coverage of the April 16th and 20th match here and here, with live coverage of Real Madrid vs Barcelona on April 27 in this story stream.
