FC Dallas vs Colorado Rapids: Ihemelu Puts Dallas Up 1-0

FC Dallas has packed on the pressure early in this one. With Brek Shea starting at left back and Zach Loyd back at right back, the flank play tonight for Dallas has been huge. Chance after chance with Marvin Chavez, David Ferreira, and Fabian Castillo. Finally in the 26th minute Ugo Ihemelu got on the end of a Chavez cross to put Dallas up 1-0.

Chavez was hurt on the goal and had to be subbed out, Eric Avila replaced him.

So far there hasn't been much out of the Rapids other than just tough defense and big stops out of Matt Pickens. The keeper has had to brush a handfull of shots out of his box so far tonight. On the other end Kevin Hartman has yet to even be tested by the highly rated Rapids attack of Omar Cummings and Caleb Folan

30th Minute Recap:

Dallas Goal: Ihemelu 26' (Chavez)

Discipline:

Dallas: Jacobson (yellow)

Colorado: Folan (yellow) Sanna Nyassi (yellow)
