Despite a promising start from Fulham, who've tested Tomasz Kuzczak in the Manchester United goal several times already, the visitors find themselves down by a goal. Nani ran straight at the heart of the defence, with Aaron Hughes coming out to challenge, but although they did eventually manage to get a tackle in on the Portuguese winger, the ball popped straight to Dimitar Berbatov and the Premier League's leading goalscorer sent in an assured finish past Mark Schwarzer for goal number one of the afternoon.
Of course, Berbatov was offside and the 'pass' by Nani looked largely accidental, but the home crowd won't mind. This is one potentially annoying fixture that's rapidly become rather pain-free, although United will want another goal to alleviate the threat posed by the likes of Bobby Zamora and Gael Kakuta. Fulham, of course, will feel hard done by, but with the side well beyond the relegation battle and with little to play for they can just relax and enjoy the day.
