Only 90 seconds after falling behind, the Chicago Fire have found an equalizer thanks to a calm finish by Diego Chaves. O'Brian White put the Seattle Sounders ahead 1-0 in the seventh minute, but before the eighth minute even came to a close, Chaves and the Fire were celebrating a goal of their own. Goals for the Fire aren't so rare, having scored four in their first two matches of the season, and the Sounders are once again even in their attempt to get their first win of the season.
The move started with Gaston Puerari spotting Patrick Nyark making a run down the right and delivering a perfect ball that allowed Nyarko to run onto it. The speedy Nyarko chased the ball down easily and spotted Chaves in the center. A low cross was right to Chaves and the Uruguayan easily sidefooted the ball into the net to level the match. Two goals in eight minutes and it looks like we have ourselves a wide open match.
