It didn't take Real Salt Lake long to double their lead, just three minutes into the second half Paulo Araujo Jr., took a pass from Collen Warner and raced away for the game's second goal. Warner found a streaking Paulo Jr., down the middle of the field and the young Brazilian tucked it just over Bobby Shuttleworth.
Real Salt Lake has continued maintain large chunks of possession in the second half while the New England Revolution continue to shift their lineup around hoping to gain some sort of energy up front.
The game has also gotten a little chippy in the second half as both teams have seen their fair share of yellow cards and even one red card. Shalrie Joseph was issued a red card midway through the second half for a tough challenge on Kyle Beckerman. RSL defender Tony Beltran was "checked" into the ad boards by Kevin Alston, the second year defender for New England saw yellow for the push into the boards.
