Bari Vs. AS Roma: Francesco Totti Penalty Gives Ten Man Roma The Equalizer

Less than ten minutes after AS Roma went down to ten men, courtesy of a straight red to Daniele De Rossi after he elbowed Simone Bentivoglio in the head, the visitors have equalized against Bari. Once again, it's all due to captain heroic, with Francesco Totti seemingly the only player wearing orange and black that can work the magic for Roma. Nicola Belmonte fouled Roma defender Juan inside the area, apparently panicked that a ten-man Roma that don't score in open play just might take away a couple points from relegated Bari. The referee pointed to the spot and of course it was Totti, scorer of Roma's first, that stepped up to take. It may not have been his signature cucchiaio penalty, but it was perfect all the same, hitting the inside of the post and bouncing past Jean Francois Gillet.

With thirty minutes left to play, Roma will have a point if they manage to hold on. But for a team with Champions League positions, will a point be enough?
