New York is second in the Eastern Conference heading in to tonight's match. They're only a point behind the Philadelphia Union, so a victory will see them leapfrog into first place. Colorado is lingering around 6th in the Western Conference, but a win would see them vault all the way into second place. I could go into far more details about the standings and how each team has played a random number of games at this point in the season, but I won't. It just seems pointless to complain about that.
