Silvio Berlusconi, who fulfills the lesser role of the Prime Minister of Italy while running AC Milan, was in Naples on Friday, attending a benefit concert. While there, he addressed a crowd of Napoli fans (well, I guess they may not have all been Napoli fans, as the persons at the concert were likely not separated out into sheeps and goats), promising them that Milan would not buy Marek Hamšík.
The papers in Italy this week have been filled with rumors of the rossoneri desire for the Napoli star, but Berlusconi's words were meant to soothe the crowd:
"I promise that I will not sign Hamsik. Milan don't go to steal the symbols of other clubs."
Those listening to the Milan patron certainly cheered, but what of Hamšík's reaction?

Never trust a politician.
