This clip from last night's MLS game between the Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps shows Eric Hassli scoring an absolutely absurd goal. I am fairly confident in saying that this is the greatest goal in the history of MLS. See for yourselves, if you don't believe me.
I don't know if I've ever seen any goal that good not scored by Ronaldinho. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a guy run onto a ball at the edge of the penalty area, flick it up to himself, then hit a volley that loops over the keeper into the top corner. That's insane, jaw-dropping stuff the likes of which you rarely see ANYWHERE, let alone a league that people like to slag off for its lack of quality all the time.
The final minutes of this game where an absolute barn burner, as Seattle scored two goals to take the lead, then Hassli ruined the party with that strike. I highly recommend seeking out the full highlights.
