Much will be made this weekend over how much of a parity league Major League Soccer is. In fact, I plan on penning a story on that very thing. But don't let that fool into believing the level of talent is not high. Just check out Graham Zusi's strike from nearly 50 yards out on Sunday. Just an absolute blast from the edge of the center circle.
Chances are, this goal is not going to get the attention it deserves. Eric Hassli's equalizer against the Seattle Sounders was a once-in-a-lifetime shot that is an instant Goal of the Year candidate. But this one was pretty awesome too.
Obviously, FC Dallas goalkeeper Kevin Hartman was caught a bit off guard, but Zusi struck that about as well as humanly possible from that distance. The ball was delivered on a rope (to borrow a term). It also provided the perfect exclamation point in a rare Sporting Kansas City victory.
