Hellas Verona And Juve Stabia Earn Promotion To Serie B

Hellas Verona secured promotion to Serie B on Sunday evening, despite losing 1-0 to Salernitana -- the 2-1 aggregate scoreline was sufficient to send them through to the second division. Juve Stabia, meanwhile, won 2-0 away to Atletico Roma after drawing 0-0 in the first leg.

Juve Stabia -- who are unconnected to the more famous Juve by anything except the fact that they adopted the name after a particularly successful time for Juventus -- move up to Serie B for the first time in sixty years. Verona and Juve Stabia join Nocerina and Gubbio in Serie B. Both clubs earned automatic promotion from Lega Pro.
