Napoli midfielder Michele Pazienza has had an interesting season. For much of the year, he was expected to mosey on off to Genoa at the close of Napoli's campaign, now that no longer appears to be the case. Perhaps the Partonapei finishing third in the league has convinced Pazienza that he's actually far too good for Genoa (I don't know) - but no matter what the cause it's clear that he's probably not going to be heading to the Rossoblu anytime soon. Instead, it's sounding like his destination is Juventus, with his agent Vincenzo D'Ippolito saying a deal is very close:
The deal with Juventus is done. Pazienza will undergo a medical later this week.
It's not clear just how Pazienza would fit into Juventus' midfield, and his signing seems like it would have an interesting effect on the fortunes of Gokhan Inler, who had been pursued by both Juventus and Napoli. It won't come as any surprise if he ends up at the latter club now.
