The Switzerland lineup is out, and it looks equal parts fun and confusing. Three true wingers are listed in Tranquillo Barnetta, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Valon Behrami, so someone is playing out of position. Our best guess is Barnetta moved inside to play as an attacking central midfielder, but it's merely an educated guess. The highlight of this lineup is the inclusion of Granit Xhaka, an extremely talented 18-year-old central midfielder from FC Basel. Here is the lineup.
Switzerland Lineup (4-2-3-1): Diego Benaglio; Stefan Lichtsteiner, Johan Djourou, Phillipe Senderos, Reto Ziegler; Granit Xhaka, Gohkan Inler; Tranquillo Barnetta, Valon Behrami, Xherdan Shaqiri; Eren Derdiyok
Switzerland Bench: Marco Wolfli, Steve von Bergen, Innocent Emeghara, Blerim Dzemaili, Gelson Fernandes, Admir Mehmedi, Xavier Margairaz
Gelson Fernandes is the most experienced man on the bench, and could come in late to help Switzerland hold on to a desirable result. Strikers Admir Mehmedi and Innocent Emeghara would be interesting to see, as they are both relatively unknown quantities outside of Switzerland.
