Copa America 2011, Colombia Vs. Bolivia: Final, Falcao Guides Colombia To 2-0 Victory

After a relatively uneventful second half, in which Colombia seemed secure in their result and Bolivia seemed a bit resigned to their fate, Los Cafeteros are through to the quarterfinals of the 2011 Copa America, having secured first place in Group A with seven points overall. Now, Argentina, regardless of their result on Monday, cannot win their group.

Radamel Falcao scored both of Colombia's goals, assisted by some pretty poor defending in both cases. The first goal was created by a through ball by Dayro Moreno that Bolivia's defense completely failed to deal with, while the second came on a penalty kick.

Colombia remained the better side, creating more chances than their opponents throughout the second half, but failed to score as they lacked the drive that they had in the first half. Unfortunately for Colombia, their win and their consistency so far in the tournament may not be rewarded, as they could possibly receive a date with underachieving Brazil or Uruguay.
