Spanish La Liga Season To Start After Strike Ends

Stay connected with SB Nation

The first week of La Liga fixtures were postponed due to a strike, but Week 2 should go on as planned. Early Thursday morning, the LFP and Spanish Players Association struck a deal to end the strike and move the week's fixtures forward. The players had been striking over unpaid wages and not being allowed to leave a club when their wages were not being paid. The LFP has more or less given into players demands, agreeing to pay back some past unpaid wages. Players will also be released from their contracts if wages are not paid.

Here's the complete set of fixtures that will now be going forward this weekend. We'll be covering everything here at SB Nation.
