Arsenal were far from their best against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, thanks to injuries, suspensions, and sold players who have not yet been replaced. However, it's hard to take anything away from Manchester United, as it takes an absolutely brilliant performance against a non-league side to score eight goals. Scoring goals wasn't all Wayne Rooney did as he roamed all around the pitch, but he did notch an impressive hat trick, the first goal of which was United's third on the night.
Ashley Young, the man who will technically be credited for the assist, was brilliant in his own right with a number of fantastic crosses from the wing and two absolutely brilliant strikes of his own. This goal was one of the best on the night, but only the penalty by Rooney was a gimmie. The other seven goals were truly earned, and United's performance was one that will be remembered for a long time.
