Hope Solo Joins Cast Of 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 13

Hope Solo has officially been announced as one of the 12 contestants on Season 13 of ABC's hit show "Dancing With the Stars." The U.S. Women's World Cup star had been rumored to be among the cast, when a list was revealed earlier in the day identifying her as "Hope Solis."

Solo will join Los Angeles Lakers guard Ron Artest as the show's two athletes. Among the other contestants are Sonny Bono and Cher's son, Chaz, TV lawyer Nancy Grace and former talkshow host Rikki Lake.

Throughout her career, Solo has made a name for herself as not only being one of the world's top goalkeeper, but also as one of the game's more outspoken players. Ever since the United States' second-place finish in the most recent Women's World Cup, she has been a regular on talkshows and many had speculated that a show like this might be in her future.

When asked about the possibility of appearing on show last month, Solo cast some doubt on the possibility, saying "I can't dance in high heels." Guess we'll get to make that decision for ourselves.
