Rumours of Costa Rican forward Bryan Ruiz joining Fulham to link up with Martin Jol are getting stronger and stronger, with Sky Sports now reporting that a fee has been agreed with FC Twente for the prolific goalscorer.
Sky Sources: Fulham agree £10.6million fee with FC Twente for Bryan Ruiz.
Ruiz, 26, has been excellent in his spell with Twente, scoring 39 times in 61 matches, and he also has almost 50 international caps for Costa Rica. His track record of scoring goals means that 11M was about the cheapest that he was going to go for, but Ruiz is also a very well-rounded player who can play almost anywhere on the forward line, coming in off the wings or holding off play as well as being a lethal finisher. Fulham fans are going to be very pleased with their new forward, one suspects.
