Barcelona Vs. AC Milan, 2011 UEFA Champions League: Lineups

Stay connected with SB Nation

Neither AC Milan or Barcelona have thrown out any major curveballs with their lineups for this evening's UEFA Champions League encounter. With Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique unfit to start, defensive midfielders Javier Mascherano and Sergio Busquets will play in the center of defense. Alexis Sanchez is out, so Pedro, Lionel Messi, and David Villa make up Barcelona's front line. Meanwhile, Milan are missing a number of players and have gone with a fairly attacking lineup, though that might be dictated by available players and not tactics. Here are the starting lineups.

Barcelona lineup (4-3-3): Valdes; Alves, Busquets, Mascherano, Abidal; Keita, Xavi, Iniesta; Pedro, Messi, Villa

AC Milan lineup (4-4-2): Abbiati; Abate, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta; Nocerino, Van Bommel, Seedorf; Boateng; Cassano, Pato

The match kicks off at 2:45 pm ET and we'll have live coverage right here.
