Kevin Prince-Boateng Injury: AC Milan Midfielder Off For Massimo Ambrosini

Stay connected with SB Nation

Kevin-Prince Boateng has been pulled with just over thirty minutes played, with AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini coming on to take his place. Considering there's been really no mistakes from the Prince, we have to think this is an injury of some sort, but nothing was seen on the field. The Ghanian did take a tumble against Lazio at the weekend, falling awkwardly on his shoulder and causing a slight worry about his availability in this match against Barcelona. It's likely this is the reason that he's left the match at this point.

So that's one substitute used for each team thus far, before the halftime whistle has even blown. Andres Iniesta, also suffering from a knock of some sort, has been replaced by Cesc Fabregas for Barcelona. Nothing much will change for the home side, but for Milan, Clarence Seedorf will move into a more forward position, keeping Ambrosini in his preferred midfield role.
