The young Dutchman Urby Emanuelson has come on in place of Antonio Cassano, whose foul on David Villa led to Barcelona's go-ahead goal. But the move by Massimo Allegri is not so much meant to punish the forward as it is to contain whatever further damage Barcelona intends to inflict on AC Milan. The visitors now have five defenders on the pitch, and are playing Clarence Seedorf just behind the lone striker, Alexandre Pato.
It seems Allegri's strategy has moved from attempting to find another away goal to trying to find a win in two weeks at the San Siro. With Barcelona carrying by far the majority of the possession (at one point, 80 percent to Milan's 20 percent), Allegri's side are fighting a losing battle at Camp Nou.
