And now all six substitutes have been used for Barcelona and AC Milan. With seven minutes left in normal time, Ibrahim Afellay has replaced David Villa, who scored the second goal for Barcelona. The pace has slowed in the last fifteen minutes or so, and Pep Guardiola is putting in the youngster in an attempt to exert a little more pressure on Milan -- who, the commentators are kind enough to tell us, possess "aging legs." A third goal from the home side would surely seal the win for Barcelona.
Milan, meanwhile, are doing their best, but not even the introduction of Alberto Aquilani (younger legs!) has created much of a chance. At this point, Max Allegri might be thinking of the future, of the match against Napoli at the weekend and then the reverse fixture of the Champions League.
