Manchester City Vs. Everton, 2011 English Premier League Week 6 Matchup: Can Toffees Stay Firmly In Top Half?

Tim Cahill of Everton competes with Alan Hutton of Aston Villa during the Barclays Premier League match between Everton and Aston Villa. Everton takes on Manchester City on Saturday.

Everton looks to continue their good run against a favored Manchester City side at Eastlands

Everton may be a team in financial crisis, but they look like a decent side so far in this Premier League season. The Toffees own wins over Queens Park Rangers and Wigan, as well as a draw with Aston Villa, but they're taking a bit of a step up in competition on Saturday when they face Manchester City at the Ethiad Stadium.

City made a couple of massive acquisitions in Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri in the final weeks of the summer transfer window and look very much like a team that has made the jump from top four contender to title contender. Expect Nasri and David Silva to start wide, cutting in to provide a creative outlet while Aguero and Edin Dzeko form arguably the world's most dangerous strike tandem up top.

Everton are dealing with some injury problems, but most of their star players - including red-hot Tim Cahill - are fit. The Socceroos star has scored three goals in three games and will be the key man for the Toffees going forward on the afternoon.
