Real Madrid still doesn't have any problems dealing with Ajax in UEFA Champions League play. They had Ajax's number in the past and continued their dominance of the Amsterdam club on Tuesday, getting goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema in a thorough 3-0 beating of the Dutch champions at the Bernabeu. The result puts Madrid on top of Group D on six points, while Ajax sit in third on just one point after two matches.
Ronaldo put Madrid on top after 25 minutes when he put the final touch on a beautiful attacking move. The entire Madrid front line got involved in a brilliant move that started in their own half, but with quick one-touch passing and fast movement saw them fly upfield in a hurry. Eventually, Mesut Ozil opened up Benzema on the right and the Frenchman found Ronaldo for the finish that put Madrid in front.
It was Ronaldo and Kaka leading the attack all match and with Ronaldo already on the scoresheet, Kaka decided to get involved. He let rip with a shot from 20 yards and Madrid had doubled their lead. On the other side of the halftime break, Ronaldo and Kaka combined to break down the Ajax defense and eventually left the ball for an easy Benzema tap in that sealed the 3-0 win.
