Valencia Vs. Chelsea Live, 2011 UEFA Champions League: Halftime, Score Tied Up At 0-0

The level of technical skill on the pitch in the UEFA Champions League match between Chelsea and Valencia is obviously very high, but that hasn't yet turned into any kind of serious chances. Both managers have set their teams up well to defend and keep the ball, resulting in a game that's been a bit concentrated in the middle and lacking in much substance when it comes to scoring opportunities. At halftime, the score is tied at 0-0.

Valencia's central defense pairing of Adil Rami and Victor Ruiz looked shaky at the start - allowing Fernando Torres to get in on goal in the opening minutes - but has since settled down and played well in the latter 20 minutes or so of the first half. Meanwhile, Chelsea haven't given Valencia a sniff other than some decent long-range shots, none of which have forced Petr Cech into a save.

It's possible that this one could continue in a similar manner with both teams content with a draw, but there's too much attacking talent on both benches for there not to be more scoring chances on the way.
