Since being relieved of his duties as manager of the United States men's national team, Bob Bradley has been exploring his other job opportunities. He's already interviewed to be manager of the Egyptian national team, and by all accounts he is still in the running for that position. He's not putting all of his eggs in one basket, though. Bradley is also interviewing to be the manager of Mexican Primera side Santos Laguna.
Santos fired the popular (at least until he gave the fans the finger, literally) and successful Ruben Omar Romano last season, replacing him with young Argentinian Diego Cocca. The team underwent a massive overhaul in the offseason, leading many to believe that the board was willing to let Cocca take some time to build a side his way. However, Santos has been extremely disappointing this season and has already relieved Cocca of his duties, just halfway through the 2011 Apertura.
Bradley will be one of many candidates interviewed by Santos for the vacant position, but fans seem excited (or at least very opinionated) about the potential hiring of Bradley. Late last night, pictures of him at the Torreon airport circulated around the internet and 'Bob Bradley' became a trending topic on twitter in Mexico.
