The first Clasico of 2012 is going to come early. Thanks to Real Madrid's win over Malaga earlier in the week, the Copa Del Rey draw and Barcelona's win over Osasuna on Thursday, the two Spanish giants will play a two-legged Copa Del Rey quarterfinal edition of El Clasico, starting next week. There are allegedly six other teams remaining in the competition as well.
Osasuna 1-2 Barcelona
The Blaugranas won 4-0 last week at Camp Nou, so they didn't have to field their best team here. This game had one very unfortunate incident, with Barcelona's Andreu Fontas tearing his ACL. Osasuna's big forward Dejan Lekic scored first, but Barcelona were the better side in the second half. Alexis Sanchez scored in the 49th minute, heading in a spectacular cross from Adriano. Sergi Roberto gave Barca the win on the day and the 6-1 aggregate victory with a great finish in the 72nd minute.
Athletic Bilbao 4-0 Albacete
Albacete looked like they had a shot to continue their dream run when they clinched a 0-0 draw in the first leg, but they were run out of La Catedral by a great Athletic side. They won in convincing fashion with four goals, as Iker Muniain looked every bit the up-and-coming star he's supposed to be. Gaizka Toquero's goal, Athletic's third, was the best of the bunch.
