Villarreal Transfer Rumors: Yellow Submarine After Giovani Dos Santos

Add Villarreal to the list of clubs who are reportedly chasing the signature of Giovani dos Santos. He's spent time on loan at Ipswich, Galatasaray and Racing Santander since coming to Tottenham Hotspur, and he was linked to transfers to both Sevilla and Udinese over the summer. He didn't make a move to either club or any of his previous loan clubs, and he continues to ride the bench for Tottenham. Enter Villarreal, who has been linked to a move for the Mexican international by both Setanta and MARCA, among others.

The rumored price is in the £4-5 million range, which is less than Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has said he wants for him in the past. At this point, however, dos Santos isn't getting into the team and Spurs are probably better off getting some money for him than paying his wages for him to not play. He hasn't established himself in the Premier League, but between his national team performances and his play last season for Racing, this seems like it would be a relatively low-risk move for the Yellow Submarine.
