After a minute of silence for former Barcelona man Juan Carlos, we're up and running in the second leg of the Copa del Rey quarterfinals, where the hosts are holding a 2-1 aggregate lead over arch-rivals Real Madrid. With Madrid needing a goal, they've opted to field a highly attacking lineup - and there's a brilliant opportunity right at the start where Gerard Pique completely fails to notice Gonzalo Higuain and allows the striker to run onto a backpass by Dani Alves.
Extraordinarily, despite being one-on-one with Jose Manuel Pinto, the hitman can't find the goal, slipping his shot well wide of the far post. Higuian did excellently in getting to that ball, but he seemed completely unprepared to deal with it once he found himself in possession. Big chance blown right there.
