Malaga Transfer Rumors: Malaga Bid €10m For Dortmund's Lucas Barrios

Malaga are in search of more talent and they've targeted Borussia Dortmund's Lucas Barrios as their next signing. The striker has had trouble getting playing time, leading him to speak about a possible move away from Dortmund to get on the field. Now Bild is reporting that Malaga may offer Barrios that move, having bid €10 million for the Paraguayan striker, but Dortmund are asking for €12 million.

Backed by their Qatari money, Malaga have made a splash over the last year in hopes of competing for a Champions League spot. Ruud van Nistelrooy Martín Demichelis and Santi Cazorla were brought in last summer, but it has only resulted in seventh place. They are just five points back of fourth place and a Champions League place though, more than enough reason to throw around some more cash in search of Champions League glory.

Barrios has been a star for Dortmund in the last two season combining for 44 goals, but he has battled injuries this season and hasn't even played in half of his team's matches. Even when he has been healthy, Barrios hasn't been able to beat out Robert Lewandowski, leaving him frustrated on the bench. That has also left Dortmund with the option of selling Barrios, knowing that Lewandowski can handle the role without a problem.
