Raise your hand if you've heard of Macclesfield Town? If you're raising your hand you are lying, but you will know who they are now thanks to Arnaud Mendy, who hit an absolute rocket in Saturday's FA Cup clash against Bolton. We will hand him his FA Cup Goal of the Week trophy now. It does not come with any real glitz and glamour, but if he requests it I will send him a handcrafted aluminum foil trophy because seriously, this is puuuuurty.
Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan is having a bad week. First he allowed Tim Howard to score on him from 95 yards away (with a healthy assist from the wind) and now he gives up the goal of the weekend. At least on this one he can't be blamed even a little bit because Mendy just hit a rocket to beat him. Even so, he's front and center in the Premier League and FA Cup goals of the week. Fame!
