Adidas & SB Nation are giving you the chance to design Messi's boots

For the whole of his career, Lionel Messi has conquered the game with the adidas f50 boot on his feet. Over the years, adidas have designed bespoke colorways specifically for the Barcelona man but now, adidas are giving the fans a chance to design Leo's next boot.

This weekend, a number of adidas' top European players will take to the pitch in custom-designed boots in order to celebrate the launch of the new miadidas configurator, located at http://www.miadidas.com/. The reworked engine will allow footballers to customize the adidas boot of their choice in order to make it all their own. If you've ever wanted to incorporate a custom color scheme or meaningful personal touches before, now is your chance.

Boot designs created using the new miadidas configurator will be showcased via local adidas Facebook pages throughout the world. Lionel Messi himself will look through the designs and pick his favorite of the bunch. Messi will wear the selected boot in competition this december, for the whole world to see.

The winning boot design must reflect the unique nature of Messi, meaning everything from the color of the famous adidas three-stripes to the choice of message is customizable to fit your image of Lionel Messi.

Speaking of the competition, Messi said:

"In football you express yourself with your feet, which is why I like to feel like I have a connection to my adizero f50s. Knowing that your boots are unique makes you feel special and makes you play with more confidence. I'm excited to see the designs that my fans create for me on the miadidas configurator and I look forward to playing in them."

The competition will officially launch on Messi's Facebook page (where there are more than 38 million followers) and will kick off the upcoming "Next Gen Weekend," which was mentioned earlier.
