Gremio and Millonairos will both be pleased with the result of Tuesday's match, and both will feel like they have a good chance to win the tie in Colombia.
Considering how little of an attempt they made to score on Tuesday night, Colombian side Millonairos will likely head home happy to avoid giving up multiple goals. Gremio were the superior side on the night, but also looked concerned about conceding, and will be satisfied with their 1-0 victory. Millonairos went out to limit damage instead of to grab an away goal, banking on their home-stadium advantage carrying them through the second leg of their Copa Sudamericana tie.
The game's lone goal came on a near post corner by Ze Roberto, which was inadvertently deflected backwards towards the far post. Marcos Antonio was waiting as the ball floated back towards him, and he directed a simple header past Luis Delgado to give his team the lead after 36 minutes.
Only six shots hit the target between the two teams, and the last shot on target came in the 69th minute, which is a good indicator of how content both sides were with Gremio's 1-0 win.
