Joshua Gatt's first match as a member of the senior United States national team will be as a starter. Jürgen Klinsmann has picked Gatt in the starting lineup for the United States' friendly against Russia. Every other selection is more or less exactly as expected for the USMNT. Once again, the formation is a bit ambiguous. For now, expect Danny Williams to move to the left wing.
United States starting lineup (4-4-2): Tim Howard; Fabian Johnson, Carlos Bocanegra, Geoff Cameron, Timothy Chandler; Danny Williams, Michael Bradley, Jermaine Jones, Joshua Gatt; Herculez Gomez, Jozy Altidore
Russia starting lineup (4-3-3): Vladimir Gabulov; Andrey Yeschenko, Sergei Ignashevich, Vasili Berezutskiy, Aleksandr Anyukov; Igor Denisov, Dmitri Kombarov, Roman Shirokov; Fyodor Smolov, Aleksandr Kerzhakov, Aleksandr Kokorin
This is not Russia's first choice team, but it's a strong one. Fabio Capello is taking this opportunity to experiment with new players in this match. Kickoff is at 10 a.m. ET, and you can catch the game on ESPN2, ESPN3 and Univision.
