In a surprise move, Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has gone 4-4-2 for the North London Derby as he starts with both Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe, with Clint Dempsey dropped after some recent disappointing form. Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon start out wide in what could be a hugely attacking move for the away side.
Arsenal, meanwhile, start with a 4-3-3 with Olivier Giroud flanked by Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott. Thomas Vermaelen continues at left-back, while Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are on the bench. The Gunners also welcome back Wojciech Szczesny in goal.
