Borussia Mönchengladbach needed a late goal from Patrick Herrmann to salvage a point against Augsburg.
Augsburg were five minutes away from their second Bundesliga win of the season, but Patrick Herrmann scored late to rescue a point for Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Sascha Mölders gave the hosts a lead after only five minutes when he headed Kevin Vogt's cross over the head of Gladbach goalkeeper Marc Andre ter Stegen. The forward almost doubled the lead seconds before halftime, but his shot struck the crossbar. Mölders has only appeared in the club's last three matches this season, but he's the leading goalscorer with three.
Markus Weinzierl's side though they were closing in on the victory, but Herrmann snuck in and lifted the ball over the head of Mohamed Amsif to rescue a point.
While Augsburg remain bottom of the table with the point, they pulled within one of 17th place Greuther Fürth. Gladbach remain in 11th place in the table, but they're only a point from jumping into 8th place.
