Hannover put the beating they took at the hands of Bayern Munich behind them and handled Greuther Fürth.

Hannover rebounded with a 2-0 victory over Greuther Fürth just three days after being smash 0-5 by Bayern Munich.

Mame Biram Diouf scored in the fifth minute to give Hannover the early lead. Fürth goalkeeper Max Grün could only parry Didier Ya Konan's shot into the path of Diouf, and the striker knocked it in for the 1-0 lead.

Fürth began to show well, but they were unable to turn any of their midfield possession into any good chances on Hannover's Ron-Robert Zieler.

Diouf came close to doubling the hosts lead several times even striking the post once. Hannover's second goal came in the 69th minute when Mario Eggimann headed in a cross from Jan Schlaudraff.

With the three points, Hannover moves back into a Europa League place on 20 points. Depending on tomorrow's results, they could drop as low as 8th. Fürth remain in 17th place in the table just one point ahead of Augsburg.
