It's been a rough couple of weeks for Juventus, between the end of their undefeated streak at the hands of their fiercest rivals and their draw against Nordsjaelland. The Danish side might have a tougher time with the Old Lady in Turin his week.
Chelsea disappointed in a loss against Shakhtar Donetsk in the last round, but Juventus still trail them in Group A, thanks to their draw away to FC Nordsjaelland. Their supporters expected them to go to Denmark and win comfortably, but they're now in a hole thanks to some poor finishing and a great goalkeeping performance by Jesper Hansen.
The Old Lady are reeling after this weekend's derby loss to Inter Milan, their first in any competition in well over a year, but they'll expect to bounce back with a big win at the Juventus Arena on Wednesday. Nordsjaelland might be able to pack it in and grind out a result at home, but they'll find it much more difficult to steal points in Turin.
Juventus injuries and suspensions
Out: Mirko Vucinic, Simone Pepe
FC Nordsjaelland injuries and suspensions
Out: None. In doubt: Nicolai Stokholm
Both sides have a mostly clean bill of health. Stokholm was out this weekend for Nordsjaelland, but it's entirely possible that they were just being cautious and resting him for this match. They'll have a tough time against Juventus if he's not able to play. Vucinic is probably the most technically skilled of Juventus' forwards, but they have enough depth to cope without him.
Match date/time: Wednesday, 8:45 p.m. local, 2:45 p.m. ET
Venue: Juventus Arena, Turin, Italy
TV: DirectTV Soccer (U.S.), Sky Sports Red Button (U.K.), TV3+ (Denmark), Sky Calcio 1 (Italy)
Online: FOX Soccer 2 Go (U.S.), Sportsnet World Online (Canada)
