West Brom's struggles against Stoke continue. Dean Whitehead scored late to grab three points for the Potters.

West Bromwich Albion have lost their second game in a row and dropped out of the top four, while Stoke have moved all the way up to ninth place with their 1-0 win at The Hawthorns. The Potters only put two shots on target in the match, but one of those shots was the only one that crossed the line for either team on Saturday.

Two substitutes combined for the goal late in an otherwise dull game without too much in the way of goal-scoring chances for either side. Michael Kightly set it up with a great cross to the back post in the 75th minute, and Dean Whitehead made the perfect run to meet the ball and nod past Boaz Myhill. Jonas Olsson helped start the attack with a bad giveaway to Kightly, which the Stoke winger made the most of.

Asmir Begovic didn't have a ton of work to do in the Stoke net, and was only forced into one save over the final 15 minutes as Stoke held on to capture all three points.
