Brazilian winger Nenê has confirmed on his official website that he'll be leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season. The 31-year-old has only made 14 appearances under Carlo Ancelotti's this season and has decided to take his career in another direction. In other words, he wants to play regularly and who could fault him for that.
Nenê released a short statement on his website:
"I love Paris, PSG and its fans, who have always treated me with great respect."
"Personally and through social networks, I received many messages from fans asking me to stay. It is a difficult decision, but I think it's time to take a new direction in my career."
Nenê, whose full name is Anderson Luiz de Carvalho, joined PSG in the summer of 2010 transferring from AS Monaco for a rumored fee of €5.5 million. In two and a half seasons with the club he's made 112 appearances in various competitions, scoring 48 goals.
