Bayern Munich need a win against BATE Borisov in order to ensure they end up with top spot in Group F. They are playing at the Allianz Arena . They will more than likely get their win. But it's not guaranteed. After all, last year's runners-up contrived to lose to these same opponents when they went to Belarus in match day two.
But the 'anything can happen in football cliche' aside, Bayern are in fantastic shape to get through. After two wins in their first two games, BATE have been in free-fall, most recently giving Lille their first points of the group stages with a 2-0 home defeat, and they've already guaranteed themselves a spot in the Europa League, and so have nothing to play for. There's no reason to expect anything but a Bayern win.

Holger Badstuber's the big miss for Bayern -- the centre back tore cruciate ligaments during the 1-1 home draw against Borussia Dortmund last weekend -- and the weakened defensive line will give BATE some hope. They need it.
