With Lionel Messi picking up what appeared to be a serious injury in a totally meaningless game, Twitter was not happy at first as it appeared he would miss his chance to equal Gerd Muller's record. Then, it was suggested it wasn't as bad as first feared. Then it turned out he only had a bruised knee. Twitter.
Coincidence?...Messi injures himself in 85th minute as he tries to scores the 85th goal to equal Gerd Müller's record.

Messi injury not serious. To be fair, a lad like Messi probably gets lifted around everywhere by four men. I would if I were him.

Messi's injury is seemingly not serious, say Catalunya Radio. Reports that he healed himself with the power of thought are unconfirmed.

Of course, after hearing that all the commotion was only about a bruise, there were those who reacted in a manner other than expressing their joy at the fact the little man was returning. There's no pleasing some people.
Hahahaha "Bruise on the outside of his left knee." And he got off on a stretcher like he was shot. Hahahaha Oh Messi, time to grow up son.
