Eintracht Frankfurt scored four goals in the second half to run away from Werder Bremen.

Eintracht Frankfurt snapped a two match losing streak with a huge 4-1 victory against Werder Bremen.

After a goalless first half, Frankfurt made the correct adjustments at the break and scored after only two minutes. Alexander Meier scored his league leading 10th goal by heading in a cross from Bastian Oczipka. Bremen equalized just five minutes later with a header of their own. Marko Arnautovic sent in a ball that Nils Petersen beat everyone to and knocked it past Kevin Trapp.

The rest of the match belonged to the Eagles. Pirmin Schwegler ripped a shot from distance past Sebastian Mielitz to give Frankfurt the 2-1 lead. Before Bremen could recover, Stefan Aigner made it 3-1 after pouncing on a loose ball in the box. Bremen kept pushing for goals as the match came to a close, but Takashi Inui scored in stoppage time to make it 4-1 to the hosts.

The win is Frankfurt's second in their last eight matches, and it moves them up to fourth in the table level on points with Borussia Dortmund. Bremen remain in 10th on 21 points.
