Postponement due to snow wouldn't be new to Chelsea and Manchester United. The two teams had their match at Stamford Bridge postponed last year when snow shut down transport and made travel to the stadium for supporters unsafe, even if the pitch was still playable. Now they might face the same thing as snow has covered Stamford Bridge ahead of Sunday's clash between the Blues and Red Devils, leading some to speculate that it might have to be postponed like last year's match was.
A picture from inside Stamford Bridge just before midnight on Saturday won't do much to ease concerns. The place is covered in snow, or for those of you who like to look on the bright side of life, it's a winter wonderland.
The forecast predicts the snow to continue through the night before letting up in the morning. If we are lucky though, not only will the match be played as planned, but they will use the orange ball! Orange ball equals more fun. That's science.
