Feb 9, 2012 - Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweisteiger has endured an injury-hit season so far and there's been more bad news for the Germany midfielder - he'll miss several weeks after injuring his ankle during Bayern's 2-0 win over Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal quarterfinals on Wednesday. With torn ankle ligaments, Schweinsteiger will almost certainly miss Bayern's Champions League clash with Swiss side FC Basel - not good news for the German giants, as they're nowhere near as strong a side without their best player in the team. The quicker he's back, the better, for Bayern and the national team. If this lingers, it could mean very bad things for the upcoming 2012 European Championship.
