The 35-year-old Carradi is coming off a two-year stint with Udinese.

Anyone who follows Italian soccer is surely aware of Bernardo Carradi. The 35-year-old has been a consistent scoring force throughout much of his Serie-A career. Now, after spending the preseason on trial with the Montreal Impact and seemingly past the injury problems that have plagued him recently, he has signed.

"It’s been good to have Bernardo here with us for a couple of weeks," said Impact head coach Jesse Marsch. "He’s shown in that time that he’s a good player, a good leader and has great experience. We are excited to have him as a part of our group and we feel he can help us be a better team."

Carradi's signing is just the latest to follow a couple of recent trends with the Impact. He is the third player with Serie A experience to be signed by the first-year MLS club. He is also the second older striker the team has signed, joining 38-year-old Eduardo Sebrango.

Carradi does come with an impressive resume. He's played for such teams as Lazio, Valencia, Manchester City, Parma and Udinese. He's never been an explosive scorer, but has definitely shown a nose for goal.
