Fabrice Muamba is in intensive care, being treated for a heart attack after collapsing on the pitch during Saturday's FA Cup matchup between Bolton and Tottenham. The Bolton midfielder went down just before the half, collapsing with nobody around him while suffering an apparent heart attack. Rescue crews immediately began resuscitation efforts and he was rushed to the hospital a short time later.

Bolton has released a statement confirming Muamba is in "critically ill" condition at the moment.

"Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Fabrice Muamba has been admitted to the heart attack centre at London Chest hospital where he is currently in a critically ill condition in intensive care," read a statement on the club's official website.

Earlier, a spokesman confirmed Muamba was "stable" in the hospital following the apparent heart attack. However, from the club's statement, it appears he is not out of the woods yet.
